GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS

The Abrites Diagnostics for Renault/Dacia is an extremely capable tool comparable in functionality to the original testers offered by manufacturers. Every unit has the same set of actuators and live data options that is provided by the official software but the information is presented in a much more convenient and understandable way allowing the user to quickly see the data they require in order to solve the problem at hand. Furthermore, the user can observe various parameters simultaneously (either numerically or graphically) without limitations to the number of parameters.

Below, you will be able to find a list of some of the most important and commonly used features of the Abrites Diagnostics for Renault/Dacia (online software):

. Module identification - an extremely important and powerful tool while performing basic diagnostics. The Abrites Diagnostics for Renault/Dacia performs the module identification automatically after choosing the vehicle model
. Reading and clearing of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) - this includes complete information about the errors in the module as per the available data as well as the ability to clear it (necessary after the fault has been eradicated).
. Display of actual values - this allows the user to monitor all available parameters reported by the vehicle's sensors hence giving the user the ability to provide a more accurate diagnostic procedure. MODULE RENEWAL

The module renewal special function allows the user to return an already used module to factory state condition ready to be adapted to a new vehicle. The software then also allows the adaptation of the renewed modules (different procedures for the various modules). This function can be performed to the following modules:

• Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) for Laguna III (ph1/2), Latitude, Megane III, Scenic III and Clio IV - the renewed module can be adapted to the recipient vehicle by using the PIN Code of the UCH of the donor vehicle.
• Radio – calculation of renewal code from PRECODE
• Handsfree module and UCH for Clio IV as well as for the following models:

Module renewal

ELECTRONIC MODULE PROGRAMMING

This function has been specifically developed to aid our customers when they are having problems with reflashing a certain module or want to transfer the configuration data from one module to another (e.g. instrument cluster). It is dedicated to:

• Reading/writing FLASH - used to recover a module if there has been a problem while reflashing. The software DOES NOT begin reflashing procedure before creating a backup of the current flash in the module. (This is saved on the customer's computer)
• Reading/writing ConfData - used to transfer configuration data and/or coding from one module to another. The most common case the procedure is used is when a customer has to exchange a faulty instrument cluster
• Recovering of Smart 453
• Virgin Engine Control Module (ECM) adaptation for Clio IV, Twingo III, Trafic III, Logan II, Sandero II, Duster Ph2, Dokker, Lodgy
  
  

KEY PROGRAMMING

The key programming special function allows users to read the PIN code and subsequently program a key to the vehicle. The users can program both key cards and metal-cut keys and can program keys even in ALL KEYS LOST situations. The software also visualizes information about the keys currently programmed in the vehicle. The following models are supported for key learning:

Instrument cluster recalibration

This special function allows the user to recalibrate the mileage in all relevant modules. For some models you can disable the dashboard synchronization with the ABS, recalibrate the mileage in the ABS or reset it to 0. These options are described in the supported models section.

• Talisman, Megane IV, Scenic IV, Espace V, Kadjar - mileage recalibration in both the instrument cluster and ATE ABS/ESC - by OBDII ( no reflashing necessary)
• Clio IV, Captur including disabling the synchronization with the ABS module or ABS mileage reset
• Twingo III, Trafic III, Smart 453 monochrome display
• Dacia Logan II, Sandero II, Lodgy, Dokker, Duster ph2 dashboards including disabling the synchronization with the ABS module or ABS mileage reset
• Laguna III, Megane III, Fluence (including disabling the synchronization with the ABS module or mileage recalibration in the ABS module)
• Megane II, Clio III, Master III, Kangoo II, Trafic II ph3
• Scenic/Modus (2003-2004), Clio II, Kangoo
• Clio/Kangoo/Megane with HC908 JAEGER instrument clusters (calibration is performed by connecting directly to the cluster using a dash connector)

The "Standard diagnostic functions" of the software include three separate diagnostic protocols (K-line, CAN and UDS). This provides all the versatility that you may need from a tool. Using these three protocols allows you to work on almost all the cars produced by Renault due to the fact that the manufacturer often combines various modules using different communication protocols in one vehicle.
The standard diagnostic functions of the software include:

is not enough the Abrites Diagnostics for Renault demonstrates its special functions.Some of the main features of the special functions include:

- PIN code reading and key learning functionality - This functionality was created with the automotive locksmith in mind, It stands out ahead of its competition with its ease of usage and speed making even the most time costly task achievable.
- Reading and Mileage calibration with the added option to disable the synchronization between the cluster and the ABS module - Ideal for replacing components containing the vehicle mileage. Once you replace the faulty mileage containing module you can set the value to the car's actual mileage with no more than a few clicks. Incrementing and decrementing is availabe in this option.
- Car ID replacement for various modules . Again when replacing a faulty module with a used one of the same car you will need to adapt the module ID to the car in order to ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy and this is where this function of the Abrites Diagnostics for Renault will be very useful.
- Airbag memory manager - Allows the user to manage the stored data in the airbag and some of the Airbag modules, available in the Renault vehicles. Special functions:

Instrument cluster module calibration

This function allows the user to calibrate the mileage in all relevant modules. Please note that regarding the vehicle models that use ABS synchronization there is the added option to disable the sync. This special function also provides the option to read and write the EEPROM and flash so that in case of any issues during calibration or others you can repair the vehicle.

Key programming

This function allows the user to read the PIN code directly from the device and proceed with key learning immediately.
