The AVDI for Mercedes/Maybach/Smart is a diagnostic software application meant to be installed on a Windows based computer and used together with the AVDI.
The AVDI for Mercedes evolved into a world leading advanced diagnostic system providing its users with the ability to exchange electronic modules by adapting all DAS related modules (EZS/ EIS, ESL/ ELV, TCU, ECU, ISM, etc. The software gradually evolved to include the options to read, save and write the DAS/ FBS data(FBS2/3), to read and write the module's coding, key preparation for BGA (Mercedes chrome) and NEC MCU (plastic) keys and allow the customers who use it to perform tasks often unimaginable to the OEM workshops. Our team has spent thousands of hours and worked on hundreds of different vehicles in order to be able to bring you our product. The AVDI for diagnostics for Mercedes is a constantly evolving systems with numerous new additions almost every month. In its core lays the DAS manager - a function that allows the long feared DAS system to be placed under the user's full control. The AVDI for team also developed our own keys to suit the key learning for all possible types of keys for the supported cars. We are constantly making new breakthroughs in the DAS system. The AVDI for Mercedes/ Maybach/ Smart is designed to perform standard and advanced diagnostics for Mercedes-benz, Maybach and Smart vehicles. In terms of standard diagnostics, The AVDI for Mercedes/Maybach/Smart provides a variety of functions dedicated to:

In relation to module exchange, the AVDI for diagnostics for Mercedes/Maybach/Smart allows for modules to be exchanged with new or second hand modules, thus reducing costs and time for the specialists using it. Some other features that the software provides are model specific, for example the repair of the SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) system, typically located in the W211 and W219 models. A software update and renewal of the 7G–tronic units in the vehicles equipped with it. This allows the replacement of the electronic unit which is well known for its common failures. Some other features are more service shop oriented – such as the calibration of the service intervals and ASSYST plus intervals. TV, ECU, Airbag Manager
This function allows the user to read and update the flash and configuration memory of the following ECUs: Siemens SID, EDC15, EDC16, and Smart EDC15C5. It also allows a service list update, TV and AUX on/off configuration for the following models - S class (W220), SL/CL (2004), E class (211), CLS, CLK, S class (W221 up to 06/2007), Seatbelt warning shut-off (this special function allows you to completely disable the seatbelt warning - both the visual indication via a telltale in the instrument cluster and the sound, which you can hear when the car is moving and you haven't put your seatbelt on). You can also enable these warnings, if for some reason they have been deactivated: speed warning for Gulf States, reverse warning. DAS Manager - The DAS Manager special function allows many modifications to the different units within the vehicles. Using this function the ECU, TCU, ISM, ELV and EZS can be returned to a virgin state, adapted to a vehicle, personalized, activated and coded. This function is extremely useful when using the DAS Manager to exchange used electronic modules in Mercedes – Benz vehicles. DAS manager has a very intuitive user interface. The procedures are as simplified and filtered as possible. The processes and procedures it could be used for only require your input when it is needed. Reset (Virgin) and adaptation for the greatest variety of EZS/EIS, ESL/ELV, ECU, ISM/DSM/ESM, TCU modules currently available. By OBDII - SMART key teach-in (K-Line and CAN)
"Transponder Generation" function. With this function you can program pre-coded transponders for the following vehicles:

After you program the transponder you should also program the transponder key to the Drive Authorization System by using the special function DAS-2B

Infra-Red and NEC password reader
You can program an EXTRA key if you have an existing key for the vehicles with a NEC MCU. Supported existing keys should be NEC v. 51 or v. 57. The operation itself is quite simple and straight forward - read data from EIS (through IR cable without removing the EIS), read the data from the existing key with ABPROG, software will then generate the online content of the new key for you and you should then program it with ABPROG.
DAS 3 Key learning (Infra-Red Smart keys)
Key learning for the Infra- Red (IR) Mercedes keys. Reading EZS (EIS) Configuration data dump by IR connector or by OBD (Please note that the password is not read and needs to be acquired by reading the NEC MCU of a working key). Once the Dump is read (either by OBD, IR or programmer) and the password is obtained the calculation can be performed online with the AVDI servers in order to generate key dumps or it can be performed offline using the AVDI PROTAG programmer which needs to be connected to the computer and the AVDI diagnostics for Mercedes/Maybach/Smart. The calculated key dumps can be written onto IR keys (Original or AVDI IR keys) using the PROTAG programmer's IR port or using an ABPROG V4 PCB to which the NEC MCU needs to be soldered.
